We went to Florida in 2004 for the first time. We knackered ourselves out in the parks every day and virtually lived on McDonalds and KFCs to take back to the villa every night.
We are going back this year and are determined to dine out more. We will probably be going to the Golden Corrall for breakfast most days as its near our villa and we really enjoyed the food there and it was good value.
So, can anyone recommend any family orientated restaurants , in and outside of the parks?
Thanks!!!
Hi I think all the restraunts are family orientated over there so I can't see that being a problem, and I don't think I have ever been in a bad restraunt over there.
Hope this helps

We enjoyed Dennys and Sizzlers off site. Nice food and reasonably priced. I wouldnt personally go back to the Waffle House though. The restaurant wasnt very clean but the food tasted fine. It was just the staff.:erm:
Really, really bad. One brit couple came in and were told which table to sit at by one member of staff, they were just about to sit down and our server (some really strange woman who looked like Mrs. Hulk) shouted at them not to sit there and they had to wait. She was very rude and unpleasant.
That couple walked out but we were already eating so we ate really quickly whilst listening to the staff talking about their tips and then left.:nonono:
On site we enjoyed the Cape May Cafe, Donalds Breakfastosaurus, Chef Mickey amongst lots of others. We also liked Cosmic Rays in MK as a counter service.

There's a truly huge selection of restaurants in and around Orlando. I can't imagine anyone's tastes not being catered for.
My advice would be to check out the retaurant reviews section of this forum (see top of page) as a starting point then ask more detailed questions for more detailed information if required.
Good luck, especially if you look at the reviews without having eaten first!!

Do try Olive Garden, Outback Steakhouse, The Cheesecake Factory, TGI Fridays. IHOPs are great for breakfasts as are Dennys, and Perkins.
Bahama Breeze, Olive Garden, Jungle Jim's offsite for starters
Onsite - Boma, Chef Mickey's, Garden Grill, Crystal Palace, Liberty Tree Tavern, Le Cellier, Rose and Crown - see here (http://www.allears.net/menu/menus.htm) for a list of restaurants and sample menus

Offsite, for cheap,family-friendly good food our favourites are Chili's (don't be put off by the name, it's not hot & spicy food!) and Bennigans.
We didn't try Olive Garden last time we were there, but I've read so many positive comments about it on here that it's on my list for our next visit!

So many to choose from.
We found Golden Corral had really gone down hill in the last year or two, we much prefer Perkins for breakfast (and any other meal) open 24 hours so it doesn't matter when you need to eat.
Other offsite favourites include Chilis, Cici's, Bahama Breeze, Olive Garden and IHOP.
Onsite a few to start you off, Boma, Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's, Whispering Canyon, Le Cellier, Grand Floridian Cafe, Rainforest Cafe, Ohana, Sci-Fi. And at Universal, Mythos, Margaritaville, Hard Rock Cafe, Cafe La Bamba.
There are very few restaurants which don't cater for families.
