DH has just got off the phone with Universal about booking a 1 night stay at the HRH in September. The online price for what we want is $239. After speaking to someone on the telephone and mentioning we were AA members the new price we have been quoted is $191.20.

Is this a good quote as i have never stayed at the HRH before?

Hoping to book asap if it is and also purchase the 2 day/2 park with 3rd day free tickets and kids go free.

We will also get FOTL passes then.

So any help would be great.:wavey:

That definately sounds like a good price! :thumbs-up
We paid about $200 per night when we went last November!
It's a fantastic hotel! I can't wait to stay there again this year!

I think that is a good rate, even on TA rates we are only $50 cheaper than that .....

Thanks guys.:thumbs-up

Unfortunately we didnt realise the quote didnt include tax. So if we booked online it would have cost us $268. We booked over the telephone with the AAA discount and its costing us $215!:spin:

So i'm one happy bunny now. Its so exciting i never thought i would get to stay onsite at Universal.:D

We are staying there on the 22nd September.

Leanne, you'll love it! We originally booked the Royal Pacific Resort but then at the last minute decide to treat ourselves to HRH! We weren't disappointed!
The place is amazing! We're going back for 2 nights in August! I can't wait! :spin:

When have you booked for Val?

Veronica, i am so pleased to be staying there. We had a character meal with Scooby at The Kitchen in 2005 and thought it was a lovely hotel.

So excited!!:spin:

Not sure about the room capacities Hun, but fastpasses (front of line access) are included in your stay!
You just flash your room key and on you go! Fabulous! :D
We enjoyed it so much we have promised ourselves we will spend a couple of nights there on every trip now!

I am trying to offset the price of fast passes against the price of a room to convince Dh . Am wondering when you get your fast passes too as i assume you only have the room from 12 - 12 the next day , which would mean one afternoon and one morning with fast passes ??????????

Just checked the Universal site and it states the standard rooms sleep 5 with a rollaway bed and they also have kids suites with a seperate sleeping area!

As far as i know you have the express pass for the day you check in and for the whole of the day you check out.

I have just priced you for May 19th (i wasnt sure when you would be going) for 1 night at the HRH for the 5 of you its coming out at $269 + tax. But it would be cheaper than that if you telephone and are AA members.

Fastpasses are valid from the moment you check in (and you can check in as early as you want) till end of park closing on the day you check out!
We checked in at 9.30 am and our rooms were ready!
Go for it Girl! :thumbs-up

Oooooo i was just going to ask that!! The site says check in after 4pm i think (dont quote me) and i wondered if we could check in and use the FOTL passes straight away. We were hoping to get to the hotel early and go play in the parks.:spin:

Leanne, you'll have no problems checking in early! If your room's not ready they'll store your bags for you!
Checking out the rooms for Carys got me thinking and i have just convinced DH to have a Kid Suite on Concierge Level! DD will love it! WOOHOO!!!!! :D :spin: :spin: :spin:

Thanks Vron , have just checked myself and it would be $268 for the night and fast passes if we didn't stay would be $50 plus tax each. So if we could fastpass for the day we book in and the day we book out it would be worth it , if only for 1 day probably about the same. Do you get the parking free when booked in too. I guess i will have to ring and ask , then possibly rejig my itinerary lol You girls are a bad influence !

Go to the Universal Studios Orlando site, click on hotels then click on HRH! A page then comes up that gives you different options! Check out accommodation and it gives you all the info (you can then click on floor maps ect!)

Trust me V i am very tidy. The kids on the other hand.:erm:

I still cant believe we have to pay to park at the hotel. I think thats a bit off. I wonder if it will be per night or whether we are expected to pay for the 2 days even though we will be driving in once and out once.:confused2

Still, its not going to stop my cheesy grin today. I am over the moon we booked.:D
