View Full Version : Buffet breakfasts in WDW
Apart from Boma (which we love and will be making ADRs for), are there any other buffet breakfasts in WDW that are NOT character breakfasts?
Me and DD were trying to do a bit of planning today, and as shes more of a morning than an evening person, i thought we should use most of our TS credits for breakfasts as oposed to Dinners.
We both prefer buffet breakfasts (although i loved the GF Cafe breakfast, but both kids hated it!) but where to go??
Any suggestions welcomed!!
We have planned dinners at Rose and Crown, 50s Prime Time, Raglan Road and hopefully Cinderellas.....so we need 6 brekkies!

Maya Grill at Coronado is listed as non character buffet.
Yacht Club Galley - buffet
Whispering Canyon Cafe - Skillet, but is all you can eat ....
We loved fresh at the dolphin, its an all you can eat buffet and they have a nectar bar where they serve fresh smoothies and fruit. The food is devine my youngest ds loved it because he ordered chocolate pancakes to order. It was not packed either and from there we caught a boat to epcot and landed in world showcase we managed to avoid the crowds it was a perfect start to the day. Definately would do that again.

Each to their own as they say - but the servers were really miserable the day we went to fresh for breakfast - the main problem is that it isn't on the dining plan, which I assume you are Janny, judging by when you are going and where you are staying.
Trails End buffet is nice, but it's also cheap - so depends how you feel about vfm from a TS!
Also, although chef Mickeys and Crystal Palace are character breakfasts, they are also very good breakfast! We (as 3 adults last time) prefered Chef Mickeys to Boma breakfast simply because we thought the food was better, although we love Boma for dinner.
We loved the breakfast at the Fresh Mediterranean at the Dolphin
Over in the Swan there is the Garden Grill (becomes Gullivers at night), that only does character breakfasts a couple of days of the week (weekends I think). I loved it there, but the wife didn't like the coffee as she said it was cold.

I have to agree, IMO the food at Crystal Palace was as good as Boma, BUT we all felt really rushed at the character breakfasts, ie, youve met the characters, heres your bill, now please leave!!
We will prob. do Chef Mickeys and Ohanas but only coz weve never done them. Swan and Dolphin are out coz they are not on the dining plan, and i dont plan to pay OOP for any meal as we did the dining plan in September and i KNOW we will struggle to use all the credits as it is!!
i guess the other option would be early dinners, as most places seem to open at 4:30
I think the problem with the DDP was that there was just TOO much food for youngest DD, and by day 4 she had had enough. Does anyone know if she could order from the kids menu on the adult plan? Then again, unless the new menus are in force by then, the kids menus are very "samey", which wont bode well either! It got to the stage where i was   at her leaving whole plates of food! Most evenings we had our dessert "to go", just to save on my blushes!!.....hence why id rather do lots of breakfasts!
