We like the Formosa Gardens area - Rolling Hills, Indian Creek, Emerald Isle etc. because of its closeness to the 192 but I am sure there will be lots of Dibbers who prefer different areas for varying reasons.

The Formosa area is very popular, close to 192/Disney, usually good size homes - Formosa, Indian Creek, Sunset Lakes, Rolling Hills, Emerald Isle, Oak Island Cove etc etc

i would not be too quick to recommend crescent lakes area, we found it too far away and they say its only 10 - 15 mins from disney attractions....... not true.

Do check up on travelling distances if that is important to you, some advertised by villa owners are very optimistic.
Best way to choose is to make a checklist of what features are important to you and tick them off as you look at villa ads.

We stayed at Highland Reserve this year and loved it. Although this was the first time that we had ever stopped in a villa. It took us 15 minutes from door to the car park at MK using the Sherbeth Road shortcut

we have stayed at thousand oaks and westridge.Next time i hope we are a bit nearer the parks. The driving home gets a little tedious when you are the only one awake in the car.

We got moved to sunset lakes from cumbrian when we got stuck there due to hurricane frances in sep 04 and the villa was really old and dated - not a patch on the first one . it gave me the creeps so much we didn't stay in it . It really has put me off the area since . Does anyone know if there are more up to date villas in that area ?

There should be, they were built some time ago, but most owners try to update their villa's, perhaps you were unlucky, or maybe it was an owner who just relied on TO's.

Not sure what you mean by 'creepy' but speaking as an owner on Sunset Lakes, we strive constantly to make sure our villa is up to date, and most owners on our subdivision do the same, along with the Homeowners association who work very hard to keep everything looking spick and span. Older homes they may be but I would say that your experience is the exception rather than the norm.

With our stunning lake views and 5 minutes distance from Disney I think that you would struggle to find any better location for your holiday (although I may be a little biased )
