Iīm wondering whether it might be possible to find an inexpensive "last minute" cruise in June (would like to find it and pay it sometime between now and June). Has anyone done that?

Any tips on where to look? Weīre 2 adults and 4 kids (2,5,10 and 12) and would like to cruise for 3-4 nights from Florida.

Shouldn't be a problem as long as it isn't a disney cruise you are looking for. Try vacationstogo.com.

Edit: Having thought about this...your problem with booking last minute will be getting availability of suitable rooms for your family. Cruise ships are not the best for families exceeding four unless you want to pay mega bucks for a suite. You will probably need adjoining rooms, and I wouldn't leave it to last minute but you should have no problem if booking now.

Royal Carribbean do great inexpesive cruises from Port Canaveral and can be booked here in the UK. The ship they use for the short trips is Sovereign Of The Seas.

My wife and I went on a short 3 night one in October and we are taking the kids on a little 4 night trip in March.

The ships are huge, entertainment good and, off course, you can eat 24/7 :-)

If I can help you further please let me know.

May I ask how much you are paying for a 4 night trip? Is there also lots to do for the kids? Even if they donīt speak english? Is everything included?

Thanks for you help.

Its 2 adults and 2 kids for us and unfortunately we have picked an expensive time of year (end of march). For the four of us in an outside cabin it's around Ģ600.

But it is possible to do it cheaper if you choose an inside cabin or a lower deck.

As for childrens activities there is lots. They have an adventure ocean kids club and children 3 and up get their own fun almost all day.

Just booked a Bahamas Cruise for our November trip with vacationstogo.com and very pleased with the price and the service. Its only 5 days to try cruising and see if we like it, goes from Jacksonville to the Bahamas, then Key West and then back to Jacksonville. The cost including all port taxes etc... for a guaranteed Oceanview cabin is Ģ202 per person, very reasonable i think!! Theres hundreds of cruises on their website and sure to be something to your liking.

Sorry, forgot to say our cruise is on the Carnival Celebration, but they do have cruises with all the major cruiselines including Disney.
