The last two times we've been to Orlando we've done everything in a pretty much straightforward manner. Everything was booked through the tour operator, staying onsite at Disney Resorts with Disney Hopper tickets to collect when we get to our hotel. Each time Guest Services issued us with a plastic card which doubled as a room key, park entrance ticket, and a charge card. We love that set up, however this year we have become DVC members and we've shopped around and booked up independantly this time.

The thing is we are wondering how that affects us when we get our Park tickets. If we purchase Ultimate tickets through an online retailer can that ticket be exchanged at Guest Services and it all put on the room key card, or will we have to carry about the tickets everywhere we go?

Just becoming DVC members ourselves I don't know if its any different, but the last time we stayed onsite (booked by oursleves) and we had Hoppers (bought from the UK). The nice CM at Guest Serivces put our passes onto our room key.
Have you thought about buying a AP with a DVC discount?

Thanks Tinkershell - I guess it would be the same then.

I looked at the AP's but I can't see the benefit to us for this year. It's a brilliant benefit if you can work out your visits so that you can get two visits in the one year, but we probably won't be back for another 18 months after our trip in July.
