Just booked our breakfast at Chef Mickey's for the 30th April about an hour ago, they were very friendly as you'd expect when calling Disney. Even had a few Disney tunes while I was on hold and got the time I wanted for 8.30am.

Were also doing The Crystal Palace for Lunch (was going to do Breakfast as well but we get it included at our hotel) on the 7th May.

A lot of people recommend both for breakfast.

There's a good bit on them here in the 'Restaurant Reviews' and there is also a page on ADR's which is also very useful.

Who will be in your party as this can affect which restaurants people recommend?

We booked for Chef Mickey's and it was very very good. I two girls (10 & 4) had a fabulous time, lot's of character interaction and plenty to eat and drink.

I did Chef Mickeys on my last trip. It was brilliant!!!! Have booked again for my upcoming trip. Have also booked for Crystal Palace breakfast as I couldn't resist a little more extra magic. Both of the above have very good reputations and (more importantly for a child of 32 such as myself  ) have the characters of my choice! ;)

Chef Mickeys is located at the Contemporary Resort near Magic Kingdom and has Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale.

Crystal Palace is inside Magic Kingdom and has Pooh Bear and friends!

I will be in my element! Bring on the napkin waving!

It will be fine if you book 180 days in advance. You need to work out where you want to go and on what day. Then use www.pscalculator.net to calculate on what date you will need to phone.:thumbs-up

If you have girls in your party Princess Storybook dining in Norway at Epcot is popular as is dining in the castle at Magic Kingdom with Cinderella and other princesses.
If the children are young then Crystal Palace at MK with Pooh and friends is great, or dining with Little Einsteins and JoJo's Circus characters at MGM.
Otherwise, Chef Mickeys at the Contemporary Resort.

We've been to a few as mentioned by others.:wavey:

Liked Crystal Palace in MK. Nice food & good service plus graet location. I't's nice to arrive before the crowds for photo opportunities (you can get reservation fore before park opening to allow you to get ahead of the crowds a bit too.);)

We did Crystal Palace for breakfast with two girls 6 & 10. The look on their faces when the characters came round was worth every single penny. The food was really nice as well. I would highly recommend it.

We always do Crystal Palace, which we really love. In July, for the 1st time, we went to the Polynesian for a character breakfast and it was really fab. Please though, whichever you choose, especially if it is not in one of the parks, please take photo ID with you. We had a terrible time with the security guard at the Polynesian. They say it is their policy - however, lots of people I know never get asked - but beware - they do sometimes ask - & really it's not worth the hassle - so bring photo ID (even if you have your reservation No.) We like to book in advance to get a good time - If you have "The Brits Guide to Orlando" the reservation No. is in there (can't seem to find my copy - guess i will just have to buy the 2007 one!)

We did Chef Mickey's the last time and we all loved it, great atmosphere and food.

Just booked breakfast at Crystal Palace for our next trip, managed to get a booking at 8.10am really excited.

We did Chef Mickeys breakfast in 2005 and it was great. There were 12 of us and we had no trouble booking for that amount.

We have also done Crystal Palace for lunch which was lovely, we are trying breakfast this year.

Another one we are trying for the first time is Ohanas character breakfast with Lilo, Stitch and Mickey. We are really looking forward to this one.

You also have Donalds Breakfastosaurus at AK which we have done twice and we love it. Although it does get mixed reviews, but we have always had a great time.

There are lots of character meals, so its best to work out which characters you would all like to see and then take a look at www.allearsnet.com at the menus.

Have fun!!:wavey:

IMO the best char brekie we have had so far is Crystal Place for several reasons. the setting, the food, the service and getting into magic kingdom before everyone else
