I notice every one is booking there ADR's ready for the DDP and was wondering what time is it best to book. I've got to start and plan and my main worry is do I book for 7pm or 8pm and then find its the wrong time. I am worrying about booking beacause I don't want to be so restricted this time to which park on which day but looks like I'm going to have to plan:confused2

If you have children, book 7pm at the very latest, if not go for 8pm as it'll hopefully be quieter then.
We have two little ones so generally eat at 5.30-6pm!

We found that some days planning a main meal in the afternoon (late lunch) worked well as we were all ready for a break and to escape the heat of the afternoon. Restaurants tend to be quiet at this time too. We had really done all the main attractions in a park by then and could relax and take things at a slower pace after eating, then be ready to spend a full evening enjoying the fireworks and seeing everything again after dark.
For an evening meal I would choose earlier rather than later as you may still have a wait for a table after your ADR time and if you are trying to eat before fireworks etc it gives a little leeway.

I have always found that we tend to eat 2 meals a day when in Florida and guess it may be something to do with the heat surpressing appetite etc.
As for times i guess all you can do is go with gutt feel and then try and amend when there if possible.

I am hoping to book our evening meals for around 6pm. We have 2 boys age 6 and 4 and i think this time will suit them more.
It also gives us an option then of seeing some fireworks or letting the kids have a swim, rather than having them ratty eating their dinner.:erm:

We are quite late eaters so do you think we need to book ADR's if we want to eat after 8pm

I would still definately make ADR's even if you plan to eat later. This is particularly important for character meals or popular restaurants like Le Cellier.
