Hi,
I have been busily looking at the dining choices available to us in WDW. Although we would prefer to go with the flow I understand that if we want to eat in certain places we will need to make ADR.
My thoughts were Le Cellier, Rose and Crown and possibly a Fantasmic dining package.

My questions are:

We are staying at WDW as guests in our friends DVC resort. Can we make our own ADR or do we have to get them to make them for us?

What is the best time for ADR for ose and Crown to watch Illuminations?

Which is the best restaurant for the fantasmic package?

It is advisable to make your ADR's in good time. If you want to watch Illuminations from Rose and Crown then a 7.30-7.45 ADR would be about right. However, you cannot guarantee an outside table there so be prepared for disappointment. (They do have a private viewing area that you can go to if you're unlucky with your table though)
For Fantasmic you should definitely book ahead. My favourite is H&V as there is so much choice (buffet style) and delicious food
You can get your hotel to arrange your ADR's, but in my opinion I would get them booked up in advance so you can be sure of getting the places and times that you would prefer

You can call and make ADRs now. I wouldn't leave it until you arrive. Anyone can make an ADR not just onsite guests.

I would say a reservation is essential for the 3 you suggest. For Rose & Crown no later than 7.30pm as you may still have to wait for a table. We also like H&V for the Fantasmic package.

I agree with the above! H&V is great for Fantasmic, have a lovely time!

I agree withh all the above except Le Cellier which I have not tried. I guess you are travelling at Easter so I would start making ADRs now.

YOu can make ADr yourself and I'd say do it asap! :-)

Haven't eaten at Rose & Crown but I'd say a reservation for 8pm would be fine.
