Hi, has anyone stayed here? I've searched the forum but can't find much information on them. We have two kids, one aged 6 and one aged 2 and the oldest saw the advert and wants to stay here but the 'adults' are concerned that it might be a bit too noisy and manic especially after a day at the parks!

Never stayed there, but I always thought that the hotel seemed a bit out on a limb.

The location never appealed to me, or seem worth the extra.

Never stayed, but passed it many times and looked on internet for costs.

Spoke to a couple in Hard Rock Hotel in Oct 2005, who had to vacate home in South Florida due to hurricane - they initially stayed at Holiday Inn Nick Hotel, but did not think it was worth the $ so moved their family out to HRH.

We stayed there in Apr 2005. The kids really liked it, you can have breakfast with the Nick characters (Spongebob, Dora the Explorer, Rugrats etc) and the rooms are fun as they have paintings of the characters on the wall. The best thing for us as a family of 5 is that you get more privacy than in a normal hotel room as you get a (small) room with bunk beds for the kids and a seperate adults room as well as a living room with kitchenette. Here are some of our photos. Yes it is very bright but we didn't find it too noisy (I guess your room location would affect this) and the pools are amazing. There is also Nick studio entertainment every evening as well as poolside games. For younger kids I think it is great, having said that last year we stayed onsite at Disney and now I wouldn't go back to staying offsite. Maybe a split stay would be good, a few days at the Nickhotel for the kids and the rest of the time somewhere more restful for the adults.

Have a look at my Dibb gallery for some photos of the rooms and pools at the Nickhotel.

Hope some of that helps

Nicola

PS The location is very good, about 5 minutes away from the entrance to Disneyworld and only about 15 minutes from Sea World, no good if you haven't got a car though as there are no shops/restaurants within walking distance other than whats in the hotel.

we passed the hotel when we were lost trying to locate a post office!!! it seemed a bit out of the way, but my little boy then 3, was so excited when he saw it, loved the photo's by the way, especially spongebob. Thanks for posting Nicola

I have been past loads of times, I wouldn't stay here - it is incredibly expensive, brightly coloured, I would bet it's very loud, and the suites aren't proper suites, just hotel rooms divided with temporary partitions.

if you need the space, I'd look at offsite condos - Cypress Pointe would be half the price and much nicer.
