It is my understanding that 'tickets' will arrive a couple of weeks before we sail. We have also recieved written confirmation of the booking and a postcard from Mickey.

I am of the same opinion as Jennifer, a couple of weeks before you are due to sail (not long now;))
We have also recieved written confirmation of the booking and a postcard from Mickey.
We just got ours the other day:jump:
Yes, expect a package in from DCL in the mail

Tickets are usually delivered by UPS (the ones with the little brown vans) - they generally need to be signed for, and they should come roughly 3 weeks before sail date.
Don't panic if you don't recieve them before you go - just print off the documents from the DCL website.
Worth mentioning that at the port there is a separate check in for non US residents..normally first one on the left and there are also DCL staff, waiting in the terminal just to help you with any form filling you get stuck on.
Don't forget to bring with you the following to the terminal ;
- a credit card (to open your on board account - you cannot pay for anything by cash either on the ship or at Castaway Cay). I think you can open an on board account with cash, if you don't have a CC - but worth checking.
- driving licence with photo ID... or ask them to photo copy your passport at checkin, for all adults...otherwise you will not be able to leave the ship. DCL retain your passport during the cruise.
- proof of entry and exit from the USA ..normally your flight confirmation details from your airline or package company. You will be asked for this.
Hope this helps :wavey:

We usually copy or passports before we go, then we don't have to worry about remembering to ask for a copy. You can always ask at Guest Services for a copy as they are kept on board for the duration of the trip and you collect them on disemabarkation day.

Just a quick update! The Disney Cruise tickets just arrived by UPS!!
Now I really am sooooooo excited!LOL! Been able to look up our Stateroom & really chuffed as could only afford to book a basic inside stateroom & we've been assigned a Deluxe inside! Its an 'end' cabin too which must be better as we only have 'neighbours' one side!LOL!
Think I'm more excited about the 3 night cruise than i am about the whole Florida holiday!! xx

I know what you mean about being more excited about the cruise than WDW. Can't wait to hear how you got on when you get back - not long now. What deck are you on and in which room?

Brilliant news about the upgrade.
I am so looking forward to hearing all about your cruise when you get back, please come back and let us know all about it.
We have booked another 3 night cruise for next year, before even going on our first one LOL I hope we like it;) We booked a deluxe inside for 2008 and picked Deck 7 stateroom #7001.
Have a wonderful trip.

Hi Sally
I think deck 10 is the top of the ship. Have you looked at www.disneycruise.com, they have a virtual tour of the ship.

Hi
Deck 1 is actually the lowest deck - but don't worry ...you are above the water line and its very handy for getting off the ship.:wavey:

.
Just a consideration for you Tinkershell - if you book another Disney cruise whilst you are on board your first cruise, you will get a 10% discount off yor next cruise plus a good stateroom credit (in addition to any extra SR credit a TA will give you).
If I were you I would seriously look at the cost of the second cruise just before you go (don't forget booking prices will have risen by then so don't cancel it now !) and see if it worth cancelling the second cruise and re booking it whilst on board - provided of course you haven't made your final payment (deposits are refundable till then)
Just a thought.:wavey:

Hi jdybnsn
I know about the 10% discount, but I thought I would get in there and then see what they offer us onboard. At least I know that we are cruising again;) and if need be I will cancel the one I have now and book with the discount one, just paid a deposit.
Great minds and all! :D

Sally, some prefer the bottom deck anyway, they say its great if you suffer from motion sickness:)
