hello this is my first post

We have been offered a very nice villa to stay in at The Abbey Westhave near Champions gate,

we usually always stay formosa Gdns Area, and have not really ever thought about staying elsewhere,

can anybody tell me what the area is like and any near by landmarks I may recognise

We stayed at Indian Creek last year and can highly recommend the location. As you said the Formosa Gardens area for closeness to WDW and nearby restaurants is superb...that 10-15 mins made a difference to us last May.

Anyway on my map Champions gate is located around exit 58 on the I4 with a local supermarket but I've no personal experience sorry.:wavey:

Take exit 58 from I4 im not sure about the community but Champions gate is brand new. We are just up the road from there.

Hi and welcome to the dibb. Das c is right it is just off the I4 at exit 58. Throught the gates of Champions Gate golf course, past the publix, turn right onto Ronald Reagan Parkway, and the Abbey at Westhaven is on the left hand side. it is a nice area, we have stayed at the Sanctuary there before we bought our own. you are not too far from Disney (2 exits on the I4) and about 5 minutes from the 192 via the US27.

We always stay at Sunridge Woods on Ronald Reagan Parkway just by Championsgate. We love the location - handy for the I-4 East to Universal, Seaworld etc, the 192, Celebration and straight up Old Lake Wilson Rd to Sherbeth Rd short cut to Disney. Also handy for the US 27 and I-4 West to Tampa. As someone else has said there is a Publix and a selection of shops/restuarants at Championsgate as well as a Golf Club and the Omni resort. We find it a great location.
