Hi,
Does anyone know if the Sandcastle swimming complex has been upgraded recently? We were thinking of going to Blackpool at Easter and I was checking entry prices for a few things and the Sandcastle basic entry is £32 for a family of 4. The last time we were in the Sandcastle I thought it was a bit dated so I was a bit surprised to see it was so expensive.
Does anyone else think that this is expensive?
Thanks
Karen

I think it is expensive - you have to stay a long time to make it worthwhile.
What annoyed me was that you are charged a fortune to go in even if you don't swim; DM & I just wanted to watch the kids. I can't remember what they charged us, but it was ridiculous. Had to pay up as we'd promised the kids, but if I won't be doing that again.

Hi
They have refurbished last year. It's actually 100% better and looks great. They have added a master blaster and another thrill ride and a lazy river. The basic price doesn't include the new rides that have been added, you have to pay extra for these.Though it's expensive and prob not worth the money it is now a really good day out.I think if you only wanted a few hours and not a day it's cheaper to go after 2pm.

Blackpool is a shamless rip off for everything, i think we go because we have fond memories of it as kids when everything was fairly new and not so expensive.

blackpool is a bit tacky.went for the first time in october for a girlie weekend for my 40th birthday. there is a lot for kids to do but i would not take my kids there over a weekend.it may be a different story midweek, but the place is filled with groups on hen or stag weekends . they are all having fun but some of their costumes or more what they have written accroos there t shirts are not suitable for children to read !
beach lovely though and tons to do but am sure there must be a nicer place to visit.
