We used the Carousel a few years ago, very close to Disneyland (easy to walk if you wanted!) and some decent restaurants. Seem to remember it was fairly reasonable and we thought it was more than adequate.

We have been to Disneyland a couple of times.
There is an enormous amount of accomodation within minutes of the parks.
Can you be more specific as to your requirements? How many people, how close etc?
I suggest Tripadvisor.com is a good place to start.
We stayed in a really excellent budget hotel last summer - the Hampton Inn Buena Park. Two rooms, two bathrooms, fridge and microwave, free parking, free basic breakfast, free internet, excellent house keeping etc etc and all for not much more than £50.00 a night. Booked direct via the Hilton website.
It was basic and clean but with the most helpful and obliging staff I have ever come across.
About a 10 minute drive from Disney, 2 minutes from Knotts and the water park. Mediavel Times round the corner. An Outback, Black Angus, Sizzlers, Po Folks etc etc to eat all within a short walk.
