whats old town car cruise like?

Can anyone let me know what the car cruise at old town is like?

It's worth seeing if you are at all into cars, all the cars (classic and custom) are parked up around Old Town from early evening and you can go and have a close look and chat to the owners. Some are real characters and really love talking about their cars. Then the cruise begins and they all parade down the road past the crowd. The atmosphere is good and there is usually a band on and dancing afterwards.

The cruise is part of our holiday. We are very much into our hot rods etc and go to the British shows. If you are into your cars its def worth going, Friday nights its muscle cars and saturday nights hot rods etc. The atmosphere is great and its a fab night out. Makes Old Town look a different place than in the day!! :grin:

Fridays is more of a boy racers night, but Saturday is for the classics.
You will find there will be around 200 cars on display on a Sat Nite Cruise.

Thursdays are good too if you like bikes.

I am not heavily into cars at all but still love to go to see the classics - really nice atmosphere and some of those cars are real lookers!!!!

we enjoyed it, but there were some very wierd people (very drunk also) around, a quick tip if you are driving, park in the supermarket car park across the road as you can get away real easy after

They R Brill.my Dh. Loved Going On A Friday And Saturday Nights,plenty To Do.loads Of Shops And A Small Fair For Kids To Enjoy.good Food And Good Music.it Will Be A Change From Going To The Parks In The Night.hope U Give It A Go.

in a word brilliant, if you are into hotrods and steetrods. get there early to get a parking space. we normally get there around 6pm so we can look around the cars before the cruise starts at 8.30, lots are on sale too so if you fancy shipping one home :wink :D

The car cruise is def worth seeing.I am not into cars but my other half is.I would also recomend the bike one as well.Loads of atmostphere
