Little Mermaid on Broadway

Disney are beginning trial runs of their new broadway musical The Little Mermaid at the Denver Center for Performing Arts beginning 26th July, following which the show is scheduled to move to the Luft-Fontanne theater on November 3rd, opening on November 6th. The songs include those from the movie, as well as newly written numbers from original composer Alan Menken, and Glenn Slater. The book will be written by Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winner Doug Wright, and it will be directed by Francesca Zambello. Sierra Borgess has been confirmed as the first to play Ariel.
