You won't see any football - the season more or less finished yesterday with Superbowl, and won't start again until late August/September.

Baseball starts in March - it's what they call Spring Training. Its thier version of pre season friendly games, testing out all the players in readiness for the 2007 season. As the poster above says Atlanta Braves play their 'home' friendlies at the Wide world of sport. Other teams play in the area too, certainly some games in Kissimmee.

Its the Ice hockey and basketball season at the moment.........

As Alex says the NFL has now finished! Would recommend the Ice Hockey though! I've never been whilst in Florida (although I think the Tampa Bay Lightening are the closest team) but we went to see the Anaheim Ducks when we were in LA last November and it was great fun! Even my DD (who was just turned 6 and was bored rigidat the NFL game we went to!) had a really good time!

Do a search for Spring Training. Loads of the big teams are in Florida during March for the spring training. New York Yankees will be a popular option.

Our AFL season of Football starts on March 2nd. The Orlando Predators are fantastic! It is definetly excting and is a big party atmosphere. The games are held at what is now called Amway Center (use to be TD Waterhouse but commonly known as Orlando Arena).

Tampa has an AFL team as well and they are called the Tampa Storm.

Well worth the price of admission! Tickets start at $7 and go up to $85.

There also plenty of minor league baseball teams in and around the Orlando area which are really cheap to go and see. The following links should start you off.

In addition we have just found out about indoor American Football that takes place at the Silver Surs Arena in Orlando (very near Highway 192). Have a look here.

Hope this helps.

Orlando has it's own Ice Hockey team the Orlando Seals...
They play out of an arena along the 192, probably a 1/2 hour drive. Have a look for thier website. We haven't seen them play but know of some of the players that have played in the UK

The Tampa Bay Lightniing are about an hours drive away and it's a fantastic game to watch. You can really get into it.

Also don't forget there is basketball (Orlando Magic) but not sure about the seasons on that one.

The Orlando Magic season starts in October and goes through mid April. If they make it to the playoffs it will go a bit further.

The hockey team the Seals are no more they got kicked out of their home in January, unfortunate as we had tickets for them but we did get a refund
