I must say I have never heard of discounts for Police, only ever for Service personel.

I though one of the resorts did a discount for certain professions think it might have been the swan.

Some restaurants will give free cups of coffee to police officers but I think it is when they are in uniform. So if you want to go out there in uniform you may get a free cup of coffee.

If you have ID bring it with you and ask when you make your purchase. Worst they will say is no. I know that some places have special days at the parks for military/police/fire so it is worth the question.

Thanks, although i must say i wasn't planning on taking my uniform but i'll do anything for a free DONUT!!

I tend to take my warrant card with me anyway so will wait and see........;)

I`ve never heard of them doing it for the police. I can understand them doing it for the military because of what they do, but would be very surprised if they did it for the police!!

Sea World has generally always done a military/public services discount during the year. I think it became a little more popular for the police & fire fighters after 9/11.

That is why I suggested to ask. You never know.

Hi, Ive been a few times(Im in the job too) and also been out on patrol with the US Police, they told me that it wasnt common to get discounts really. The only thing they get is massive discount or free food when they sit in the place they purchase from.
Your right tho, if you dont ask, you dont know :tounge:
