The concerts are not in the cafe, but in the Hard Rock Live venue next door. It's a brilliant venue, not too large.
There are a couple of photos in my October trip report.

We saw Nickelback there for an MTV taping. We thought it would be short but they played for a full hour and a half. It only cost around $15 too! A brilliant night out. You can check the calendar by clicking on http://www.hardrock.com/live2/calendar.asp?lc=LIVE

Just missed out on Seeing Alice Cooper in 2001.
Had been in Universal for the day, and was actually sat near the "Tour Bus" resting the feet before I got tickets.
At that point Suzie decided to feel a little unwell. If ever there was a reason not to take her along on our HONEYMOON, that was it,lol.

NO but I have seen several at The HOuse of Blues - Scissor Sisters, The Hives, Hot Hot Heat and Pepper.
Very small intimate venue, it's brill and if you eat there you get to go early for a good seat!!

HOB is also a great venue, but smaller than HRL and I agree with Kerry that the food is lovely. Keep your food receipt to bypass the line at the concert.

The food is deep south themed, jambalyaa and such like, but with regular stuff like pizzas and burgers for the unadventourous. The food and the service is top class!!
