View of shuttle from WDW

There is a launch on 15 th Feb when we are there. Can you see it from WDW? Or will we have to drive to Canaveral area?

hi, we did see from wdw a few years ago, (not very clear but you can see the tail smoke)!

I agree, although you can see it from WDW area it is just a blip in the sky.

You really need to get closer.

Hi we seen one from our balcony..fifth floor at the World Marriot Center near Downtown disney........good view ...and you can hear the loud cackling noise from the engines.....looks like they are just strapped to a very large firework!!!

saw it go up last July from universal studios. The whole park just stopped moving and watched. Then everyone clapped and cheered. The atmosphere was amazing. It was just a thick trail of smoke, but i got a photo of it!!!!

i seen the one in 05 from universal, we was next to pay for parking and everybody got out of their cars, looked up and clapped! was really amazing

We saw it take off at night and it was amazing. You could only see the trail but it was very bright and like nothing else Ive ever seen in the sky before.

We were in Seaworld one year watching it launch on the screen in the Shamu Stadium and suddenly you could then see it above the screen going up, fantastic, everyone was cheering, lovely atmosphere.

I saw one a few years back whilst we were staying in All Star Sports. Watched the takeoff on the TV then ran outside to watch it. The sky was clear and considering you are around an hour and a 1/2 drive away you can still hear the noise of the engines. Brilliant sight!!
