We were going to spend a night at the Poly in July to co-inside with Tikiman's Tikifest. We got an e-mail to confirm that there were some great garden view concierge rates so we have upgraded and booked an extra night :jump:

Apart from going to Epcot for Tikifest are planning to spend the entire time at the resort so Poly fans - what can you tell me about it

That will be lovely for you all Jakki. I liked the look of the pool there when we went to 'OHana last year.

I've just read your thoughts on the Poly and I can't wait to stay there. We plan to just chill while we are there. We will mainly eat the food at the concierge but DH & I will probably book a dinner at Kona while the kids go into the Neverland Club and then we can cozy up on a hammock afterwards :)

Its beautiful, the creche attendants are great with kids. The pool has good views, its overpriced for a whole vacation but perfect for a couple of days.

You have the right idea in just immersing yourself in the resort whilst you are there Jakki.
We both commented that the first time we stayed there we kept popping off elsewhere far too often, considering the price of the rooms and the beauty we had on our doorstep.

I know spending lots of time at the resort is a luxury we can afford to do as we go so often - but it's a priority thing and I've really got a rubbish bathroom :D

Jakki

Chill out, relax, stroll round the grounds, stopping on the quiet beach for a while, the quiet pool is also great if the main pool is mega busy or the kids prefer the deeper style pools ...

I wish I was there right now ......

We will meet you in the concierge lounge for dessert and drinks!!

Enjoy the beach and pool area during the day. Maybe rent a pontoon boat and go over to Bay Lake and around the lagoon. Grab some snacks and relax on a hammock. Since it will be summer enjoy the warm nights out on the beach watching the fireworks and the Electrical Water Pageant. Check out the fire dancer on special days out at the entrance for the torch lighting ceremony. Be sure to get an all you can fill, self-serve Dole Whip Pineapple treat. Walk the path over past Luau Cove and check out the Wedding Pavilion and just past it the Grand Floridian Spa and Health Club that is open to Polynesian resort guest to use.

Make sure to have breakfast at Kona and check out the entertainment at the Tambu Lounge at night.

See you in July.

Aloha

I haven't stayed there but we spent an evening there and it was just lovely. So tranquil and felt very luxurious. Would love to stay there.

I'm a Poly fan....we were lucky enough to stay for two weeks for DH 40th Birthday January 06 and loved it! Concierge was a real treat - so easy to make reservations and the lounge/food drinks were :tounge: DD 5 loved the Netherland Club, watching the fireworks and electrical water pageant from our balcony or the beach swinging in a hammock, swimming in the pools and Lilo and Stitch breakfast.

You will have a wonderful time....:)

Such a good place i stayed for 2 weeks, sit on the beach at night and watch the fireworks at MK in of my fav moments, i think there is even a bit where you can dip your toes in the lagoon. Also i went on the mini speeds boats round the lagoon that was fun! Enjoy your stay
