Playstation 2 and Psp games?

Does anyone know if I buy games for the playstation 2 or psp, if they will work on my UK machines....;)

My DS nearly bought a portable dvd player at wal-mart but a worker there said it won't work with uk dvd's.

From what I remember US PS2 games will NOT work in UK machines, however US PSP games will work in UK PSPs Im almost certain that US UMD's (the little movies disks) wont play on UK PSP's. Confused?
PS2 games wont work.
PSP Games will work.
PSP movies wont work.

No they don't work we have a playstation at our villa U.S one and they dont play english games. Ithink it is something to do with Pal and Ntsc i think . I'm sure some one more knowledgeable will enlighten you.

We were told by a someone in Florida mall that anything that goes through your TV ie. PS2 etc won't work. But hand held games are ok We have bought loads of PSP & gameboy games & been ok.

DVD's - if you have amulti region DVD player your DVD's will work otherwise they won't. We bought Little Mermaid last time we were there, which will owrk on our main DVD player but won't work on DS TV/DVD combi.

Unless you have a modified or US PS2 then the games will not work.

PSP definitely OK for games.
