Just wanted to see if anyone had the same experience eating with ADR's at Epcot. Booked the Italian, Mexican ( previous trip) Marakesh and Le Cellier. Marakesh & Le Cellier were ok but felt really rushed out the door with the other two. It was like eating on a conveyor belt - no time to sit between courses and tables cleared after you finished with the strong suggestion to have coffee outside. Don't mean to be picky but hate being rushed after a meal. Anyone feel the same?

We were crowded and rushed at Le Cellier - placed next to the restrooms with no other table available, practically sat on our neighbours lap. We got their servers bum in our face when they were being served!
They asked for our DDP card as they brought the dessert - no asking if we wanted coffee.
Also, our neighbours were not even halfway through their appetisers when they brought out their entrees - they did not complain. If that had been me, the server would have been wearing it!

We had trouble there too, the meal was lovely but the service was poor.

DD ordered a chicken salad and the rest of us had steaks, her salad came out 5 minutes after our meals so obviously we had finished just after she had started, the server came along cleared our plates and gave us the desert menu, the poor girl was really put off her meal feeling very rushed. Also the manager was waltzing around with a computer tablet checking on all the tables to see where everyone was up to with their meals, she was not discreet at all, I found this very annoying. That said we are prepared to try there again this year and hope for better service.

Some of our food was lovely as well (forgot that bit lol) but our steaks were not cooked as we ordered - definitely not the best steaks of our trip - that honour goes to Yachtsman Steakhouse:thumbs-up

Hi Sus,

We like to eat in The Seas and The Garden rill with the children.

Never felt rushed in either one.

We were really rushed at Rose & Crown even though being told at the start the the table was ours for illuminations. The server wanted us to move down to the viewing area at 8.45 p.m. and weren't offered desert or drinks!

We didn't move . :nonono:

This year we plan to go out through international gateway to somewhere on the boardwalk like ESPN.

Has anyone tried eating at Biergarten in Epcot? Have read the menu and it sounds quite good but wondered if there is any first hand experience out there. Many thanks

I've always enjoyed eating in the Epcot restaurants but I must admit on my last trip (December 2006) I've never felt so rushed - at both Le Cellier and Rose & Crown we were still eating our appetisers and the waiter brought out our entrees. It seems with the increased number of diners following the introduction of the dining plan the restaurants are really getting you in and out quickly.

I did suspect it was connected to the dining plan as in previous visits haven't had the same problem. Le Cellier food was lovely ( cheese soup and steak to die for) and the atmosphere at Marakesh is good however I don't plan to do the others again. The other main difficulty is finding a place that has a reasonable vegetarian selection and not just the usual one dish offered.
My DD and I sat it out a bit before we moved but those with young kids seemed to be whisked out really quickly.

This year we had an early lunch at the character place which revolves beside Soarin as last visit we did Crystal Palace at MK. Place was not busy and had lots of visits from Mickey, Chip'N'Dale, Donald etc and they were really sweet posing for pics etc. I was told when I booked it no probs with vege option however when we asked at the table again told no probs. I got a plate with steak, turkey, cat fish(don't eat fish) with lots of veg options. My dd got greasy rissoto that was covered in orange/turmeric coloured oil with a quarter of roasted butternut squash on top. She also got an oily dish of mashed potatoes. My veg was on my plate with the meats so I asked for more veg for DD. When it came DD asked me to taste it. Defo turkey flavour so not edible for a strict vegetarian. Pretty poor I thought and although she could have had unlimited amounts, it wasn't really what I had been expecting.

I have decided no Epcot ADR's for our next trip, I think the food in the restaurants is very overpriced for what it is and I have always felt rushed. Having said that I have only eaten in Mexico & Morrocco so that's what my comments are based on.

Our only evening meal in Epcot was in Le Cellier, this was pre dining plan days and to be honest we were not impressed. We thought the service was rushed and it was very expensive (something like $150 for 2 adults, 2 kids meals a couple of drinks each and only 1 course) for what we actually got.

For our trip this year we may do a couple of lunchtime ones but will probably be avoiding eating in Epcot during the evening.

Have to admit I'd be terrified to complain at the time as they could take the plates away and and I'd be scared at what they might do to the food they btought back...............probably stupid but I would be concerned.
It happened to me at Olive Garden and we didin't eat it and complained afterwards. I got a reduction on the bill after refusing a desert as an apology.

Where they planning on your returning to your table for dessert after illuminations? We ate there a long time ago, and had a table by the lake so we didn't need to move, but the waitress told me that she was going to hold off on bringing out our desserts until after the show.

Best restuarant in Epcot for me (not that I've tried many lol) is Coral Reef - it is a fantastic atmosphere, great service and a x2 TS meal that was, now only a 1xTS on the DDP. Great food - not just fish, two beef and one chicken, plus one veggie choice also.

Went to Coral Reef 2 trips ago as Suzie is a big seafood fan so tucked into lobster. I can't remember too much about my veggie offering but we didn't really go there for that. Mads loved the oversized fish tank and that helped entertain her.

I always go to the places in Japan - good choice as a veggie and I love Japanese food anyway. Not badly priced from what I recall too.
