If this is the same as Arctic Expedition you have two options, either a simulated helicopter flight followed by a walk through an area with polar bears, whales etc. Or you can skip the helicopter flight and just opt for the walk.

As far as i know you go to 'backstage' at wild artic and have 1 hour talk and see and touch a penguin

It's only $18 per adult $12 per child so it sounds reasonable especially if you thought it looked good

We've booked to do it in April, so I can let you know when I come back. When I asked on the Dibb prior to booking, I got quite positive feedback if that helps!

Did this on our last visit and was well worth the money. Saw one of the male polar bears (Johnny IIRC with a droopy lip!), the beluga whales, harbour seals and finally the penguins, where you get to stroke one. Was very informative along with the predators tour we did (get to touch a small shark on that one).
Managed to book both tours the same day but couldn't get to do the saving the species one - thats on this years list to do!!
