Take your kids to Homossassa Springs State Park (about an hour north of Clearwater). They will be able to step into an underwater viewing station and watch the manatee swim all around them! And you get to see them being fed on carrots and cookies! Its a great day out. :D

The naration was done by Dervla Kirwan. Later there was an ad for M&S and it does sound like the same person.

I loved the programme. I have always wanted to go canoe-ing like they did but don't know where to go.

I heard that the Crystal River was the only place where you could swim with and pet the manatees.

We was there last year and it was THE most memorable event - that first glimpse of a manatee swimming up, straight toward me from the murky depths! I was awe-struck! Would highly recommend it.

For those that missed the programme[ me included], its repeated Tues evening on BBC2
Also being repeated is the Top Gear Flydrive show that was on this last weekend. The team bought 3 cars to drive from Miami to New Orleans. Its on Weds evening, also BBC2.
