Hi, can anybody tell me what currency would be best to take to Mexico, Sterling, Dollars or Peso's?
Also 10 hours is a long flight, the most I have ever done is to Orlando with Virgin in Economy and that was great on the way out as we had one of the pairs of two seats at the back which had a bit more room, but coming back we were in a row of three and found it really cramped. Can anybody tell me what First Choice economy is like?
Thanks
We went last year and without a doubt I have to us US$. Many things are priced in $ and the locals prefer them to peco's.
Have no idea about First Choice sorry! We went My Travel (Airtours) it was absolutely awful.
Mexico is a fantastic place, I'm sure you will love it.

We're going February to all inclusive so will be taking $. Shouldn't need too much money so at least we can use the $ again if we don't spend what we take. We're going First Choice which are meant to have a decent amount of leg room, this will be the furthest we have flown as well. The flight to Orlando seemed to go quick so hopefully this will be to.
The bit I'm not looking forward to most is driving to/from Gatwick.

We have flown to both Florida and Cuba with First Choice and found there planes more comfortable than Virgin economy with more legroom. We really enjoyed flying with First Choice and would have no problems flying with them again.

Hiya,:wavey:
When you PM'd me tried to send 1 back but your box was full.
Anyway, Riu Tequila was fab (if you stay there, ask for a room overlooking golf course:thumbs-up ).
Regarding Peso's, don't bother, as other posters have said American Dollars are the norm there, that's all we used.
First Choice, we flew with them to Dominican when the new planes had just come out and they are the best we have used (upgraded star class premium) even economy apparantly has more leg room than any other airline (we're using them again this year;) ).
If you want any more info, PM me but make sure you have room in your box for my reply:D

Hi,
can't tell you anything about the flight as we went with Thomas Cook.
Regarding the money, we took a selection of $ TC's (small denominations), lots of single dollar bills (for tipping the staff as they well deserved it - we were at the Riu Palace), and a small amount of pesos.
To be honest, I was suprised at the lack of money we actually used. As the resort is AI, you don't need money for anything apart from leaving the resort, which we didn't do that often as it was soo good. When we were out and about we used Pesos.
