We've been to Orlando a few times now, and have never made it to Celebration. Is it worth a visit, and if so what do you recommend for me & DW, DS (3) and DD (1) - or is it worth a drive thru'?

Hiya
I went to Celebration last time we went and really enjoyed (although we don't have kids). We had a lovely lunch at the Market Street Cafe and then wandered around the lakes. Its a lovely quiet place, has a cinema too and its really good for just relaxing and taking time off from the hectic park days. Lovely to get an ice cream and sit on the rocking chairs overlooking the lake.
See my trip report for a bit more info ....http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=121599

I hear the actual shop/restaurant area is really good. The rest of our party went last time but i was put off by our drive through the residential part in the daytime. It was just too unreal. All the houses look like toy houses, they are all so perfect it's quite spooky and there wasn't a soul around...it was like a ghost town of show homes.
I will be going to the "town" part this time though.

It's lovely to have a wander round - take a break in the morning or afternoon from the hectic pace.

It's like Pleasentville run by Stepford Wives!!!
Seriously it can be relaxing but don't you walk round the lake if anyone is afraid of alligators 'cos you're bound to see one or two!!

It's a town made (?) by Disney just South of the 192 - someone is bound to know more! Anyone know what time it snows in the evening in the run up to Christmas as that's something I'd like to see :)
We really love Celebration and always visit there when we`re in Orlando. Have a look here www.celebrationfl.com :-)
