View Full Version : Which Moderate at Xmas
We are looking to stay onsite for our last couple of days if we make it back this Christmas. We have the choice of Carribean Beach, Port Orleans or Coronado Springs. Any recommendations ?, we would most likely stay over new years eve.
Thanks.

They are all lovely resorts. Out of the three CBR is my favourite as I just love the sandy beaches and the lay out of this resort.

I've only stayed at CBR but loved this resort. If we stayed in a moderate again we would like to try Port Orleans FQ as I've read some good reviews and its near DTD and we like going there on a night. Perhaps think what you might be doing NYE - CBR is near epcot? I'd stay in CBR again though as it was lovely and because it was spread out felt very relaxed.

Do any of them have better access to any of the parks or DTD/Boardwalk ?.
I guess the pools are all about the same ?, might be a bit cold for them at this time of year but that doesn't usually stop the kids.

POFQ is the nearest of those resorts to DTD but you would still need to get a bus or boat.
Facilities are about the same at all of them although there are more pools at CSR AND CBR. CSR is often used for conferences although I doubt there will be any at Christmas and this resort also has a gym. It has a rather strange food court though that you get shown to a table for.

Just noticed that POFQ has a 'Horse Drawn Excursion' which our DD would love. Anybody done this ?, is it hard to book ?. Also the fact we can catch a boat into DTD will also appeal to the kids, does it take long ?.
Thanks.

The boat ride is about 15 minutes and is a very pleasant journey. The carriage rides do need to be booked as they are very popular but you can do it in resort with a day or twos notice.

Thanks for the info.
Before we started looking at these resorts in detail I would have picked to stay at CSR but now it looks like we are leaning towards POFQ.
Any other opinions out there ?.
