We've had them in the sit down and the take away....the sit down was ok...just ok....the takeaway would be ok if they cooked the fish longer....ewwwwww soggy batter

They taste very similar to to Harry Ramsdens' over here too actually - must be the oil / fat they cook them in.

Had them once in 2000 was diapointed with the little fish strips they served, I don't like fish and chips that much anyway as the grease sits heavy on my stomach.

We've never rated Harry Ramsdens in this country, so can't see what all the fuss is about really. We have eaten there once, and yes the batter was soggy! Would rather try something else from another country. But everyone is different.

We've had good meals at places that other people don't like, so it is everyone's personal preference. Try it for yourself and see, and have a great time.

We normally eat here at least once a trip, and I've always found them to be just like home.

Mmmm we last had these in 2005, very yummy yummy. But beware of the seagulls if you eat on the benches beside the water.
