Hi

Why do ticket companies require a departure date? Do they keep your tickets safe until its is time to go, or are they making profit with your cash in their bank account. The reason I ask is that i want tickets to go in september and have the funds ready now, but if I pay in full I would expect delivery within 14days and having the satisfaction of knowing the tickets are with me and it is my responsibility. Do the tickets only become acitive once you start using them. I am not sure if i purchase them to soon then they might expire before I get there. The ticket in question is a universal 5 park .

Any advice ?

The tickets only activate from when you first use them, we always purchase early even though we're going later.

you wil get your tickets within a coupld of days. its sometimes just to do with pricing. we are going in dec07 but we bought some of our park tickets in march 06 ( the 2 months you don't pay council tax are usually when we buy our tickets!)

you can change the date so long as the ticket type you are purchasing are valid for your real dates .... for example some tickets are only valid until 312 Dec 2007. Or they sometimes bring out special deals for travel between x and y dates.

Otherwise you should be fine,

We purchased tickets for Universal a few weeks ago. They are tickets that do not expire until we use them. They asked our date and i said March even though we dont go until Sept.
The tickets arrived within 10 days.
