We will be in Orlando from 28th April - 12th May. Has anyone who has visited at this time got an opinion on whether or not the crowds will be heavy enough to warrant shelling out for Express passes at this time?
It's just myself, DH and DS (2), and we want to be able to do all the 'big rides', but don't want DS to get bored whilst we're waiting...
What does anyone think???

Hi,
We went last year in mid may to early June and we specifically went to US/IOA near the end of May. We had a night in RPR for the FOTL passes for two days and were really miffed that we only really found them useful on 2 rides! We had a villa for the whole time we were there but spent over £150 for the hotel to get the passes!
Almost all rides were either wlk ons or small queues and they didn't even operate the FOTL passes system!
So I would say you'll have no need for the passes for when you're going. We're going again on 6 May and we don't intend bothering this year.
Hope this helps.

Thanks - that'll save me a few quid then :spin: . I only have experience of September, and it was a similar story then. :wavey:

We are going the same 2 weeks as you :)
We did the same weeks last year and it was walk on every ride apart from Jaws. The problem with Jaws was it did not open until 11:00 am and for the first hour they only had one boat on, and the queue was about 30 or 40 mins.

:wavey: We are flying with Thomascook from manchester. We normally go with Firstchoice or TCD, but the price was soo good with Thomascook when we were looking to book, that we could not say no.

I went on exactly those dates in 2005! As long as you get to the parks early (which we did) the queues were pretty non-existent and you shouldn't need the Express Pass.

It depends on when you go but anywhere between $20-$40 per person for the 1 park 1 day to $35-$50 for the 2 park 1 day.
We went to IOA and US during the last week of Jul/ first 2 weeks of Aug. IOA we did in 4 hours, US was about 5 hrs. Worst waits were BTTF and Jaws, about 30 mins each everything else we walked straight on.
They are a waste of money IMO and for a family of 4 it soon mounts up.

My advice would be is not to buy them, go to the park and see what the crowds are like. Hopefully it won't be too bad. If it is you can always buy them on the day

Robitay and D.J.S - not on either of your flights - but see you there in those (hopefully ;) ) non-existent queues :d:
