I heard that not even armbands are permitted - and that you have to use Disney life jacket things, and they only allow their own inflatable rings - but I'm sure someone will tell us both shortly!!!

i am sure we have used both one of ours ( a blow up life vest) and used one of theres, when we needed them. our DD could swim abit but we wanted her to enjoy it as well and not be attached to us all the time

They don't allow armbands as they are not considered to be life saving equipment in the USA. You can hire (for free if I remember rightly - just a refundable deposit) their life vests which are actully excellent! My DD wore one the last twice we went - even though she could swin the last time - and they are very very boyant!

Where do you hire them from would be great for my DS and can you hire them for the hotel pool to save taking one?

DS wore his floaty jacket in the waterparks, we were never told he couldn't.
