..or are they both the same? I am just looking at my itinerary and trying to work out when we are most likely to be flagging and may need a gentler day? :confused2

US certainly feels smaller, and there are short cuts across the park. IOA is quite twisty-turny but with few, if any, short cuts. So I'd say US would suit tired feet better.

Hmmm, might have to keep this in mind and see how we are doing....at this rate all my energy will be used up with excitement! :o:

we prefer IOA, but for a quiet day US would be the one :)

Universal Studios is better for a quieter day although I usually schedule a water park day for when we need a bit of rest.

Thanks folks, I think I may swap them as I don't want to be running out of energy for IOA as I didn't get to do as much as I wanted there last time. :)

It depends what you're interested in. IOA is mainly for rides, hulk, duelling dragons, spiderman, bilge barges etc, whereas US has more shows and gentler rides except mummy..

If i wanted a quiter day,i wouldnt do either of them..for us its a full day in each of the parks...id tend to do a water park...

Agree here, on a day for a rest id head to a water park or lay by pool but if your only option is which park is a gentler pace i would say the Studios.
We can do them in half day. Get there for opening and work your way around the park and you can be out by about 3 ish. Also its helps if you have been a few times and know what you want to miss etc. If your a first timer then its gonna be a full day id guess.
IOA def a different pace altogether, so many rides to do and redo and redo and redo

Trust me I have scheduled quite a few quiet days at water parks for rests (and because we adore water parks).
The thinking behind my question was that we have just booked up to join Alyson and co on her Wishes Cruise. The date for that is 24 April which is the day we were to do IOA. If US is going to be less demanding then I will swap them as it will give us more time to get back to the hotel, change and then head over to Contemporary to meet for the Cruise rather than going straight there! My original planning was to reflect the Busy day guide in the Brits Guide but from what I have read so far end of April shouldn't be a major scrum on any day so it won't really matter if I swap them. :)
Good plan??
Universal was our least favourite park, in fact it was pretty dull. It was quiet when we were there, very quiet and we completed the park quickly. Doubt we will go back when we return. IOA on the other hand is amazing.

Not my favourite by any means but we are doing everything as Karen hasn't been before and she is really excited about the movie parks! It'll probably be the one day that I simply go with the flow and let Karen decide what she wants to do!!! :)
