Don't usually do these but as I'm quite organised this year and have some ADRs booked I thought I'd have a go. As with all my plans it is very fluid and parks are likely to change round or be ditched at a moment's notice if shopping overruns or we make arrangements with our friends.
Anyway:
Friday 23rd March - Fly to Miami from Heathrow VS005 - Hurrah!
Arrive Miami and pick up our first SUV - Drive to Marathon Hawks Cay Resort for 2 nights. Will probably grab a quick snack on the way. www.hawkscay.com
Saturday 24th March - Breakfast somewhere on the US1 and on to Key West and then back to the hotel after lunch for swimming and :cocktail:
Sunday 25th March - Quick breakfast at the hotel and then to the Dolphin Research Centre to see Kibby (the dolphin Olivia swam with when she was 3!) www.dolphins.org Drive back up to Miami in the afternoon and check-in to the Mayfair Hotel in Coconut Grove for 2 nights www.mayfairhotelandspa.com
Dinner at Los Ranchos Steakhouse. www.losranchossteakhouse.com
Monday 26th March - Quick breakfast in the hotel and then off to Parrot Jungle Island www.parrotjungle.com May have the afternoon on South Beach followed by dinner at Monty's Stone Crab and Seafood restaurant.
Tuesday 27th March - Breakfast at Greenstreet Cafe www.greenstreetcafe.net and then check-out and drive up to Orlando and villa at Sunridge Woods. Settle in and unpack and catch up with Ray & Margaret. Out for early dinner at Manny's Chophouse www.mannyschophouse.com
Wednesday 28th March – Breakfast at Market St Café, Celebration. Quick catch up with Mark & Penny @ Sherlocks to drop off some booty before heading to MGM. Olivia wants this to be her first park this year due to High School Musical! Dinner is planned for Red Lobster www.redlobster.com
Thursday 29th March – Animal Kingdom today and ADR for Jiko at 6pm
Friday 30th March - Some shopping today and swimming at the villa before going to Universal to meet up with Steve (Highlander) and his family for dinner at Pastamore before we all go over to Hard Rock Live to see TOM JONES!!!!
Saturday 31st March – A quiet morning to follow all of our singing at HRL! May do DTD for a bit of light shopping and then over to Celebration for some lunch at Sherlocks. A quiet afternoon for swimming at the villa and then probably a barbecue there in the evening.
Sunday 1st April – Bit of light shopping in the morning and then over to Epcot in the afternoon. ADR booked for 6pm at Marrakesh.
Monday 2nd April – Magic Kingdom today and ADR for 5.30pm at the California Grill.
Tuesday 3rd April – Epcot in the morning and lunch at Big River Grille at the Boardwalk. Afternoon at the villa for swimming and a snack there later.
Wednesday 4th April – More shopping today, Mall @ Millenia - lunch at the food court. We have a special secret event tonight??!! More about that in due course!!
Thursday 5th April – Seaworld today and a swim at the villa before dinner at Celebration at www.thecelebrationtowntavern.com
Friday 6th April – Lazy day today – may have breakfast out . Swimming at the villa and pack for Portofino Bay tomorrow or we may head over to Epcot for a walk round. It’s our friend Ray’s birthday today so likely we will meet up with them for dinner tonight. Venue will probably be decided when we’re there.
Saturday 7th April – Up to Universal for check-in to Portofino Bay for 2 nights. Off to one of the parks – don’t know which one we’ll do first! Back to the hotel for a snack and to get ready for MEATLOAF at hard Rock Live!
Sunday 8th April – Off to the other Universal Park this morning. Think we may have dinner at Bubba Gumps www.bubbagumps.com
Monday 9th April – May have another trawl round the parks if we’ve missed anything and spend a bit of time at the hotel pool before late check-out. Back to the villa and will most likely have something to eat there in the evening.
Tuesday 10th April – Shopping and mooching today and off to the Grand Floridian for Afternoon Tea at 2.10pm. It’s likely we will pitch up at Celebration in the evening for a few drinks at Sherlock’s and a bit of a snack.
Wednesday 11th April – May go to Seaworld or perhaps back to MGM. Some swimming at the villa will be done before our ADR at Raglan Road at 7pm and a wander round DTD.
Thursday 12th April – Some frantic shopping will probably be the order of the day today as the holiday draws to a close. It will probably also involve a visit to Ray & Margaret to borrow an additional suitcase – this has become a bit of a tradition! Dinner will be pizza in the villa and will probably involve Ray & Margaret coming round and a good quantity of Merlot.
Friday 13th April – Will go round to Ray & Margaret to say our goodbyes till next time and head for Celebration for our last breakfast at Market St Café. Will say our goodbyes to Mark & Penny at Sherlock’s and get on the road for the drive to Miami for our return flight. Will grab a bite at the airport after check-in and will console ourselves with the fact we’ll be back in October.
