The announcement is on Monday. Construction seems quite advanced and I think it is expected to open March 08. Link here (http://www.seaworldorlando.com/SWF/popup_countdown.aspx)

Actually this has been a poorly kept secret for quite a while now. But yes, it is very good news. Could spell the end for Wet n Wild though.

I think you may be right Steve. What will WnW have to offer now with 2 Disney options and the new SW one.

Rumour has it that Universal dont intend renewing the lease at Wet n Wild when it expires next year and were looking at building a new park somewhere else.

I heard about the new Sea World waterpark a few months ago, it sounds fab doesn't it. We're planning on going for Christmas 2008 which might be a bit cold for waterparks but I guess it's an excuse to plan for 2009 ;)

Do not listen to anyone saying no child will appreciate Disney before the age of 5. We first took our son to when he was 16 months old again at 2 and we are taking him again this year at 3. He cannot stop talking about it, knows all the characters and watches the dvd all the time.

When the great day comes and you have chikdren money allowing take them, you will be surprised how much they take in and enjoy.:thumbs-up

Yes, apparently it is due to open in March - but that date has been put back from an earlier one - so I really hope they don't put it back again - as we go the first two weeks in April :cool2:

I wouldn't necessarily agree with that ....it is a different type of holiday I'd agree, but we took our son as a 4 year old and he took it all in his stride and thought it was absolutely brilliant. Amongst other things, watching him interact with the characters was brilliant.

Does Look lovely.. and i imagine it will be just as magical as the rest of the Parks.. maybe even better than the Disney Water Parks?! :spin:

But... I dont agree with the slide going through the pool with the whales in it.... Would it not frighten the animals, having people whizzing through their pool every few minutes... ??? :nonono:

Sounds Good Will Be Nice To Have More Choice.

The Disney Water Parks Are Great But Will Be Nice To Have A Change.

Don't Count Wet And Wild I Hate The Place Find It A Little Tacky, It Would Probably Be Better In Spain

Hi,

We first heard about this when we were over there in 2005. They said opening in 2007 so it looks like we will have to go back in 2008 as well, shame.;)

The park and slides looks great, but I wonder how much you'd see sliding down the slides anyway
