Has anyone tried the 'Boston Lobster Feast' on I-drive?
It looks really good but i cant find a price for the buffet on their website and dont want to embarrass myself if its too pricey when i get there.
Cheers

We discoved BLF in Feb 05 and loved it. We went 3 times during our 3 week hols in Jan/Feb 07 and tried all 3 locations. Its fantastic value and fantastic food! You can get an early bird price between 4 and 6pm which saves you $5 each. It cost us about $70 for 2 adults inc tip. Don't order anything from the menu (unless you do as the above poster suggested with a child in tow) just ask for a feast. You can find coupon in the little booklets from the Visitors Centre which will give you free soft drinks or $3.50 off alcoholic drinks (they have a full bar inc cocktails). Ask for a booth when you go in as they are a bit more comfy - even if you have to wait a few mins for it.
The servers are very helpful and friendly so don't worry if you don't know what to do! Just go up and grab a plate and start picking what you want to eat - there is a huge range - but make sure you leave room for the lobster and at least try the crab legs. Your server will clear your table every 5/10 mins or so but discreetly and will top up your soft drinks as they empty. You can reuse your plate or get a fresh one its up to you.
If you are paying by credit card give the tip in cash directly to your server - they will be very grateful as if its lumped onto the card its gets taxed b4 they get it so they lose money.
ENJOY!

Sorry to be the first to put a downer on this place, but we ate there in 2005 and thought it wasn't very good at all.
For the price you can't grumble but the quality of the seafood is not as good as you can get elsewhere IMHO. The lobsters tasted pretty bitter and were stringy (tried three to make sure), the shrimp were ok the spider crab legs lethal, also the beef could have soled your shoes. The tables were full of dirty plates some of which weren't moved for the whole time we ate there.
If your after decent seafood try somewhere like Fultons Crab House or even the Red Lobster. As they say you get what you pay for.
We ate there last time we went, it was ok ut not startling. We did ask for a discount for our daughter though as she is a vegetarian and doesnt eat seafood, so she just had soup, salad etc. The waiter said he would see what he could do. When we got the bill they hadn't charged us for her, which I thought was very nice so we left the waiter an extra tip!
