If any of you are staying at The Sheraton World Resort with a hire car, make sure you are made aware of the parking charges.:omg: Although all the brochures will say parking is free, its not.:nonono: We were never told until we checked out that we owed them $150($7 a day) for parking our car in their car park :mad2: Not the kind of thing you need to end your holiday!!:mad2:

That sort of thing does make me cross. I dont like being lied to I guess.
:mad2: if it says in the borchure the parking is free send them the bill you sould get your money back:thumbs-up
Is this the hotel?

If it is, it does say on their web site
Complimentary on site parking
And if you want valet parking
$10.00 valet parking.
According to the Cambridge dictionary if you give something to someone with your compliments, you give it to them free.

Ouch! That's just rude! You need to be demanding a refund from whoever printed it was free! :nonono:

We did get our money back.:thumbs-up The parking charges were just introduced (march 06) so they said they would refund us as we had never been told......trouble is they may not do this now as its been a year since they introduced it.

Makes you wonder why they think they can get away with the charge, there are so many hotels people will just go for another next time they visit.

That is shocking!!!! we stayed here Oct 05 and thought it was a lovely hotel, but that car park fee is disgraceful what a total rip off!!
that is so bad...if it was introduced after you booked then they should not charge and all agents should tell people that their brochures may not be up todate and extras may be charged and check them out at time of booking

Generally if you've booked a package and it says something is free you can dispute it with the hotel. We stayed at Sheraton Studio City and they tried to charge us the resort fee but we showed them our paperwork which stated this was included and they dropped it thankfully!

We have booked this hotel for two nights at the beginning of our holidays. We booked through globespan, after looking at the hotel's own site. No where on either site does it mention a parking fee. We booked in January. I'll have to check it out with globespan and see what they say!
