View Full Version : Photo ID for Universal Entry???

Can anyone tell me whether or not we need to provide photo ID for entry into Universal? :omg:

I've got the 2-day (3rd day free) Multi-Day Tickets, one for me, one for my husband and one each for the kids. I don't think I've got any photo ID's for the kids or myself (unless a photocopy of our passports will do?) :confused2

I don't really want to take our passports with us for the day (safety and all that) so if we do need to produce photo ID at the entrance, would a photocopy do???

Thanks,
Familyburns

We're off on Saturday!!!!!!

As far as i'm aware you only need your entrance tickets.

We've never had to show ID, but if you want to be on the safe side, a black and white copy of your passport is ok - colour is illegal!! If you have a photo driving licence that is also accepted :wavey:

I can confirm 300% colour is illegal!!! Someone will come along and back me up. Something to do with colour being easier to alter/possibility of it being the 'original' page from your passport?? :wavey:

I had always thought this too and made sure my copies were in black & white, however we have just renewed DS's passport and got some info with it giving advice etc. and it states that you should always carry a photocopy of your passport with you when on holiday and keep the original in the safe, but nowhere does it say that it has to be black & white which puzzled me.

look here (http://www.opsi.gov.uk/advice/crown-copyright/copyright-guidance/reproduction-of-the-british-passport.htm) for conformation on a copy of your passport.
we have copies of ours reduced to credit card size and laminated, they fit great in to a purse or wallet. we were asked it US the first time we went in. and a couple of times when using our credit card in shops
