Hi

If you go to the Disney web site it will give you all the info you need on the passes.

Hi we have just ordered annual passes for US/IOA $578 for 3 adults, we think it will be worth it as we are going in july for 3 weeks and we think the flexibility and what you can save on parking/shopping/restaurants will be well worth it.

Disney APs also allow you to buy the DDE card which saves 20% on food and beverages at many WDW restaurants. This can cover a party of up to 10 with one card (and one AP) so can give considerable savings for a family or larger group.
Most people will be likely to save money with an AP if they plan to make 2 or more trips within 12 months, especially if you can get resort discounts, but you do need to do the sums for your individual situation. Just one AP in your party can give worthwhile savings.

Universal (<$200) & Seaworld APs (<$100) are excellent value for money as you not only get free parking but discounts of up to 20% on food & merchandise in the Parks .
Disney APs are more expensive (>$400) and you don't get as much in the way of Park discounts but the hotel discounts are usually fairly good :)
