Hi guys, could you give me some help with regards my itinery for a 1st timer to Florida. I have kids 8 and 6 and will be going in May.

From what I hear all around it is practically impossible to do all the parks in a two week trip. But I have planned to do it, and wonder If I should drop one park and if so which one.

Sun - Magic Kingdom
Mon - Magic Kingdom till 2:00 then back to hotel pool
Tue - Typhoon Lagoon till 2:00 then shopping
Wed - Sea World
Thu - Bush Gardens
Fri - Blizzard Beach
Sat - Clearwater Beach
Sun - Epcot
Mon - MGM
Tue - Gatorland / Wet n Wild
Wed - Animal Kingdom
Thu - Universal Studios
Fri - IOA
Sat - Home and relaxing most of day whilst wait for flight.

dont mean to sound petty but if you include some dates or ideal dates it might help a bit more

dont take this the wrong way, but you seem to have crammed an awful lot in and i am sure if you do manage to stick to it by the end of it you will be shattered. our first trip we only did disney and seaworld and that was busy. look at cutting down and planning a couple of rest days.

and it gives you an excuse to go back to do the rest.

last year we did disney/seaworl and us and felt very rushed and missed alot out

But this is just my opinion and you know how much your kids can do
good luck and happy planning

i would not do U/S and IOA this time. yes they are great parks but save them for next time

I reckon it is very doable....but I'd drop wet n wild and Gatorland...unless you really do have a thing for gators...you're doing the Disney water parks so I reckon you could easily miss wet n wild....you might need to play around with which days you do them all...depending on the park hours etc....but yeah...you can easily do all the parks in 2 weeks...tiring...but great fun

We always do all the parks in 2 weeks. You could go to a park for the morning - come out at 2pm and then go to a water park.

The other thing to think about is 2 trips to the Tampa area in 3 days - Clearwater Beach and Busch Gardens. I've never been to Clearwater and even though I'm sure I'd love it - I've never considered going for just a day during a 2 week holiday. Would prefer to concentrate on the parks and "joking" beaches around WDW. (I live near Gower though - plenty of beaches - but lacks sun!)

why not try doing blizzard beach after sea woirld then next day driving over to clearwater beach and staying the night and then doing busch gardens from there. would save driving in the same direction twice. as said drop wet n wild and gatorland and you should be able to manage it:wave:

I personally would drop Busch Gardens as your kids are probably too small for the best rides they offer. I too would drop Wet n wild and Gatorland first time round. I am not convinced you need to do BB and TL either . We do one or the other as our kids of 5 , 7 and 9 cannot do alot of the big flumes on their own so it is only a morning for us.
Having said all that it does look doable the way you have put it so if you are determined to do it all go for it , but there will be a lot of running around.Have a great time.

Thanks for the replies Guys, and much appreciated.

With regards the first poster your right, I did forget the dates, I am arriving on May 12th (Saturday) and dont intend to do anything until the Sunday which is why I started it then.

I have also got in my head to make the water parks half days and go to Downtown disney later on the days. I am staying at Port Orleans French quarter so Downtown Disney is not too far for me.

I also thought about swapping Clearwater to Thursday the last week and doing IOA on the Saturday instead.

Thanks.

everyone is different as has been said already. i love a busy busy feel to my holiday but then i don't have kids. i defo wouldn't miss busch gardens, and we don't DO rides! your itinerary looks great to me, one day of hard work walking round the parks and one day lazing around the water parks ( eh...actually we don't DO water parks either!) only thing i would suggest is being flexible enough to swap the water parks for shopping or something else if the weather isn't too great that day......have a great time!

its ok to cram when you dont have to think about your kids. but please (i am sure you will consider them) but believe there is a heck of alot of walking every day and they (as well as adults) get tired i am just trying to warn you you will walk MILES

Hi I wouldn't worry too much too cramming a lot in so long as u plan a few rest days its all doable (not everyone can afford or feels the need to return, that's y its always a holiday of a lifetime), although Gatorland and Wet and Wild on same day I agree are not a great idea, in fact in doing the Disney water-parks u may really not feel the need to do Wet and Wild, your first full day is mothers day in the states so make sure u get an xtra pressie:thumbs-up
