View Full Version : Any suggestions for July 4th
We are going to be in florida for the 4th july and wondered where if anywhere would be the quietest place to be as weve been advised to avoid the parks as they will be very busy that day but what about the shops? will they be busy too or even open. Any suggestions please on what to do that day?

All the shops close early. We ended up having a dander about DTD and then chilled by the hotel pool. Wouldnt even think about going near the parks.

Last year we did SW till mid afternoon, then Dixie stampede, then we shopped at Premium Outlets which closed at 9pm, then I-Trolley back to hotel and watched the Fireworks from hotel balcony with a drink of course

We did Discovery Cove on the 4th July, it was a great way to escape the crowds. We had a lovely day and then spent the evening at MGM for the 4th July fireworks there. The park was heaving but there was a great holiday atmosphere.
Thanks for the suggestions, having not been is downtown away from the main park? Shopping seems the order of the day;) then maybe to downtown and mgm at night, that sounds like a plan:spin:
