Hi has anyone stayed here, and what's it REALLY like? Any comments appreciated.

im staying there soon ,will let you know .have to admit bit nervous about it after reading all the trip advisor reports .i did have family stay there in 05 and it seemed alright to me then but basic .

Yes, stayed there in March 2004. Rooms are nothing special, and can't stress enough that you'll want to wear something on your feet the whole time. If you are just looking for somewhere to crash at night, it's okay. The service down at the reception isn't wonderful, but not the worst I've come across.

The room we stayed in smelled a little damp, but that may have been the air-con unit. The pool was fine, and there is a good sized launderette on site. Wouldn't stay there again myself, but for a budget hotel I guess it's not too bad. It's only a tiny part if your holiday, so don't sweat it too much.

too be far tho u wont be spendin much time in the hotel so if its basic its ok.

We found it to be good, room was large enough for 2 people, and we had a good view.

We stayed here in October 2006 last year and I posted a review on it. Not great unfortunatly.

We did have to buy some air fresheners, we had to wear flip flops all the time as your feet turned black in no time, very dark room and pretty awful bathroom.

Make sure you ask for a recently refurbished room!!! The one we had looked nothing like in the brochure!! We stayed here in 2001 when we got married and it was lovely, in need a bit of a update.

It is only the bedroom though, like everyone said we hardly spent time in it!!

we are staying here in december, we too were a bit concerned after reading some of the reviews, but i got some quite good feedback from other dibbers when i posted a similar thread.. . . plus its about 9 or 10 bad reviews out of how many thousands of people that have stayed there? its somewhere to sleep and get a shower and its a great location so i'm sticking with it.

I usually Stay at I Dive Inn and always found it fine, it got slated on Trip Advisor etc, same goes for Best Western Plaza too, so was feeling a bit dubious. Seems like people have had good times there, so feel a bit better now. Thanks everyone. Looking forward to it now, after all you ain't in the place all that long, just for a kip. Stayed there in 2003 and found it to be a good basic hotel. We like that part of I-Drive too. We didn't have any complaints.

i was undecided whether to stay there or bw movieland but bw movieland just edged with the reviews so i booked there
