Lake Buena Vista Palace Resort and Spa

Does anybody know why there does not appear to be any availability for the LBV Palace for Jan 2008. Is it because they have yet to release dates and prices? or the hotel is full? I find it hard to believe the latter.

I would appreciate any help here as I am keen to book up ASAP. This is my first choice hotel for a number of reasons, so want to be totally sure there are no rooms before I look elsewhere.

Who are you trying to book with? We have recently booked for Easter 2008 through Virgin Holidays but the resort did disappear from their system for a while when the hotel attempted to renegotiate their contract with virgin (i.e for more money). I think they may be reviewing the prices as more facilities open.

I have tried to book the hotel with Virgin and directly with the hotel, but with no success.

I have now phoned the hotel, but they can only say try later in the year when they have released prices for this period. Strange that you can book for later in the year though.

i had to wait a few months for virgin to negosiate nthis yrears contracts with them also.

Well I have just booked this hotel with Virgin for April 08 so I would get back onto them. I believe however that the last contract date Virgin has with this Hotel is 30th April - after that I think it is not longer an option with Virgin.

A friend in the travel business told me (though not sure if it is true or not) that the contract ends and a new one is just much too expensive so the hotel is being dropped.

When are you staying next April? We are there from the 6th - 20th April. I see we are from the same part of the world too!! We had trouble booking with Virgin (one minute it was available the next not) when we finally booked by phone direct with virgin, the agent advised us that the hotel had been trying to renegotiate the contract but had now agreed to leave it for as long as Virgin had advertised the property!? We did ask what would happen if the hotel decided to pull out of the contract at a later date & were told we would have the option to cancel or choose alternative accommodation!! Fingers crossed that all is well for next April as we are really looking forward to staying there.

Oh Jo - I hope they don't pull the Hotel - I love it there and really don't want to go to any other.

I too could not book on line, but no problem by phone. Needed to call anyway because of the 10% discount for being a FV!!

Hopefully they will honour bookings - I knew that the contract with the hotel ended 1st May...Probably too expensive now.

Anyway - I go 17th April so you will be there too!!! We will have to meet up and as the trip gets nearer we can swop notes:D :wavey:
