I have a dilemma.
I hope this makes sense.
We arrive in Orlando on the 10th Sept, checking out on the morning of 13th for our Disney Cruise. So we will have nowhere to leave our luggage.
My question is what do we do with our luggage while we are on the Cruise, I can't take 3 huge suitcases onto the ship, there will be no room in the room, will there? We are staying in a Cat 7 room 7620, if this makes any difference.
Do I leave it in the car, just taking a smaller case with what we need for the 3 nights onboard?

Thanks for any help.

If it was me, I would pack what you need for the Cruise and leave the rest in the car - though the huge bed in your stateroom could easily fit 3 or 4 normal size suitcases underneath

When we cruised in Dec 2005, we packed all we needed for the 3 days in seperate bags and left the rest of our stuff in the boot of our car in the car park at Port Canaveral, we left it well covered and nothing on display and it was absolutely fine. The car park is quite secure and was manned by security guards.

We are leaving ours at the hotel. I booked hotel for 14 nights so that i could get free disney dining for 14 days, therefore the days we are away on cruise we can save credits up to get even more character meals when we get back off cruise!!!

There is quite a bit more storage space in your cabin than some US discussion boards lead you to believe...there is quite a large double sliding-door wardrobe for a start.

That said, I agree with the previous posters, the DCL carpark is secure, so I would have no worries leaving excess baggage in your car - just don't leave food in there.......apparently there is an ant 'problem' at certain times of the year !!

Good plan Jackie:)

We won't be checking into the VWL till the 17th Sept.

I can't see there being any problems leaving the rest of the luggage in the boot.

Yes jdybnsn we have had hire cars that have had remnants of food left in the car with severe ant problems...:(

Another example of the wonderful advice given on these boards:)
If I was hiring a car, I would leave extra luggage in the car. Just not all those Mickey Mouse soft toys I plan on buying - I would miss them too much!

Yep, we're leaving 2 suitcases in the car:thumbs-up

One other thing - According to the people on the Dis- dont leave anything foody in the car - even sweet wrappers etc. Apparantly your car will be invaded by ants if they smell anything in there:erm:
