Anyone done or due to do this one?

I'v been looking at DCL site & this one looks fabulous........I'm very tempted for late next year or early 2009!(our little one would be 3 &1/2 by then so easier to entertain!)

Any feedback greatly received!!

Done this twice now, on our honeymoon in 2003 and then in 2005.

Anything specific you want to know? We absolutley love both ports of St Thomas (vist Magen's Bay or Coki Bay for great beaches) and St Maarten, good shopping, love the little town beach and the Barefoot Bar :)

How can I help?:):)

How does The Magic compare to The Wonder? In your opinion would this cruise suit our little one who by then will be 3 & 1/2? Its obviously a lot more expensive than the 3 night we've just done but I'm sure it would be worth it!

Think financially we'd have to go early 2009 to have time to save but there is one Oct/Nov 2008 but isn't this hurricane season??Bit scarey if it is!!

The Magic is almost the same as the Wonder :) the only real difference is that Lumieres replaces Tritons as the 3rd rotational restaurant onboard and has different theming (obviously!;)) A couple of the other clubs, cafes are called by different names too....BUT importantly there are all the same wonderful facilities onboard and the great service you have on the Wonder is there on the Magic too :)

I haven't got little ones to take on a cruise any more so can't speak from experience but I know lots of US friends take their toddlers on and they love the 7 day cruises. They have all the kids clubs, Flounders nursery, the Mickey pool etc so there's lots to do and plenty for Mum & dad too of course.

As to timing, well, we were due to cruise the Western Carib in mid October 2005 but the big hurricane hit and our cruise was redirected to the Eastern instead to be on the safe side. (We'd done it before but no big problem to us, just glad to be there at all!) We saw nothing of the storms as Disney will never take chances with its guests! If you're not thinking of going til late October, early November chances are you'll be fine anyway!:)

No cruises/prices yet for early 2009 so will wait till these are available.Think our little one will enjoy it more as he'll be a bit older.(want to take advantage of kids club!)
Anyone know when they generally release cruise dates for the following year?At mo they seem to go up to Dec. 08.

ha ha ....I knew it would only be a question of time .....

Prices for early 2009 will most likely be out end of Oct 2007 - early Nov 2007 - keep an eye out on the Dis.

Dh has no idea I'm even thinking about it LOL-He's been out most of the afternoon so I'v been playing 'Travel Agent'!!

At least I'v a few months to work on him!!

Having checked out prices for '08, I reckon we may be able to budget for it if we don't go anywhere b4, especially as our eldest bought home a letter from school for a Ski trip Easter '08 costing £700!!!And he really wants to go. (Thats the cost of our 3 night cruise!)
I did tell him the rest of us will go off to Florida whilst he's away but he thought that was so unfair!(i was only joking!)
