Does anyone know if I can transfer mybooking to Dreams Unlimited to get an onboard credit? I have booked directly with Disney Cruise Line and have paid in full so I don't know if I would be allowed to transfer and what Dreams would get out of it IYKWIM?
Does anyone have any idea? Also would it be worth the hassle if it was possible?
Thanks

Natalie

That's what we are planning to do Natalie to get the $100 ship board credit - if you look at their website there is a link to click if you want to transfer a booking. I know Tinkershell did it with no problem

Hi Natalie,

I had already booked my cruise direct with DCL. What I did next was email DU for a quote and see how much onboard credit they would offer us, its says upto $300 onboard credit. We didn't get anywhere near $300 though.
I then got my quote, was the same as I was paying with DCL so DU just took over the booking transferring it all over and giving me the extra onboard credit.
I paid my balance direct to DU it was really easy, I just sat back and they did it all.
I have just seen that you have already paid in full....not sure about this jdybnsn should know though.

Did you have to pay the balance when you transferred it? Our balance wouldn't be due until June 2008 so I don't want to pay it now.

No Jakki, I didn't but I took advantage of the really good $$ rate.

That's why I paid mine in full as well - the exchange rate was too good to pass up!

Well I don't know for sure, but I think you can only transfer before you pay in full ....but it won't do any harm to ask.

PS you don't need to pay infull when you transfer your booking - the terms are exactly the same as DCL. I can't blame you paying off the balance in full before you need to.....the rates are great at the moment:thumbs-up

Just incase anyone is interested - I contacted Dreams and asked if I could transfer my booking, they emailed back saying that you can't transfer a booking that is paid in full to them, they also said that this is DCL's policy and not their's.
