Hi everyone
Everytime I go on a cruise, only been twice!, it always takes me a day or two to get rid of that 'on the sea feeling', even though I dont notice it when on board!. Does anyone else have the same problem and has anyone any tips. Dont feel nauseous just a bit floaty like this:spin: . It wont put me off though.

I am really, really, really, very, very, very worried about this :( I get terrible motion sickness, cars/planes and I cant go near simulator rides in the parks!
We finish our cruise on the Thursday, and I have Discovery cove booked for the saturday - I am going to be heartbroken if I dont get to swim with the dolphins because Im too sick! :(
Is there any cure or quick way to get over it? or will I just have to suffer through it and hope it doesnt wreck the last part of our holiday?

Oh dear, I didnt want to worry anyone:erm: . If its any consolation I was not sick once on the ship but suffer and have always suffered with that feeling that I am still on it for a while afterwards, not nauseous just bobbing around a bit. I am sure it doesnt affect everyone and I would have probably been able to go to Discovery Cove the next day. I bought some Sea Sickness pills, Dramamine I think from Walmart but didnt take any at all and they also have sea sickness medicine in the sick bay area on the ship, just in case. We went in Sept/Oct and the sea was slightly choppy but we didnt feel anything on board being such a big ship. It definately isnt like the feeling you get on a ferry when its choppy and it throws you around. I am also terrible when it comes to spinning rides or simulators, in fact I found out I was claustrophobic during a Florida trip a couple of years ago so BTTF ride was definately out and also Wild Arctic and Body Wars.
But dont worry about it I am sure you will be just fine. I have problems with my ears and it may be because of that.

Oh my I hadn't really thought of this.
I really hope that we don't suffer afterwards.

Take some Stugeron. You should also note that almost all transatlantic yachtsmen are sea sick until their "estrachian" (sp) canals settle down, so it does and can affect many people.
Thankfully our bodies are extremely adaptable and will settle in very quickly, also, the cruise ships also have excellent stabilisation systems.
Hopefully, if you are affected it will only be in the short term.

I'm the same. I've read on the "other side" that people continue to take their sea sickness tablets for a few days after the cruise to stop this problem. :confused2
I've never had this problem so I'm lucky but I know that as said, some people do carry on taking their sea sickness pills like dramamine after the cruise.

So glad it is not just me;). We went to AKL for a few nights last year after our cruise and I distinctly remember walking down the long corridors feeling like the whole corridor was moving slightly. I told DH and DDs and they all thought I was mad but I definitely felt the slight bobbing sensation too. It wasn't a feeling ill or sick sensation just a bit odd and it didn't stop me visiting parks or anything else for those last few days, I doubt it would be bad enough to affect your day at Discovery Cove. I was very worried about travel sickness as I too can't ride simulators and normally fee sick in cars, coaches and boats etc but didn't feel sick once on board the Wonder. Maybe I was just too busy having fun...

The first 2 I did I was wobbly for a day or 2 the last one it took me longer - we went to Universal the day we disembarked and I couldnt go on the rollercoasters, the rest of the family were fine though.

Personally, because of my acute vertigo, I could not even consider a cruise....much to my disappointment!!!

Yes I get that problem, although I don't class it as a problem because I know why it's caused. I used to crew on a yacht and eveytime I came off it took me a day or so stop mentally bouncing up and down, you do get used to it.
