Now I went here about 4 years ago and honestly, I about drowned - no joke! :erm: I can swim but not over confident in deep water and I can't even remember which ride it was... but it involved going down lots of chutes on my own in a ring and staff throughout the ride were spinning you etc.. I went down the end backwards, flipped and the water was deep.. swam what I thought was the surface and it was the bottom :confused2 ANYHOOOO.. my boyfriend is gaggin to go here but I have just lost all my confidence with water parks :-( what rides do I avoid where the water is deep and out of my depth? I'm only weeny 5'2" :d: thanks for any replies x

I know exactly where you are coming from - I am the same - i find most of wet n wild out of my league whereas Blizzard Beach there are quite a few I am able to go on (i am such a wimp that i even hate lazy rivers due to going under waterfalls - as i cant stand water over my face!!!). Check the ends of the rides out first - you can get quite a good idea of depth and how you exit a ride so you can usually gauge it from that

I can sympathise with you ,we went to w'n'w yr before last...I only did the rides I knew were quite shallow at the end....I dont like deep water...Last yr we went to BB and at the end of one of the rides I slipped ,:( ,,felt really stupid....lucky didn't hurt myself.... Perhaps you could just soak up the sun instead.....:o:

I can swim and so can both my children but water scares me silly when my kids are with me. If I can not see them I go into panic so I would also please like to know what rides to think twice about....
What a great smile bridget..

My girlfriend hates the water, so last year at W'n'W she sat under an umbrella reading a book and drank cocktails while I ran about like an idiot! Both of us had a great day!

avoid "storm" at all costs then, it is the one where you slid into a big circle (like a toilet bowl) and spin round until gravity drops you out at the bottom, usually back first and you do not have a clue where you are!!! cannot think of the one you were on as most have the tubes to sit on. but look on the bright side you can do "bomb bay" which DH says is excellent "better that summit pummit" accordind to him:confused2 :confused2 :pgig: :pgig:

:D What a lovely bunch you are! Thank you for the tips and yes, I would absolutely LOVE to sit under an umbrella and drink cocktails all day but I'm sure my boyfriend wouldn't be too happy about that! :confused2 but hey! This is my holiday too right?? I'm going to have a look at wet n wild site now... I do like black hole and bubba tub though - they're great fun :thumbs-up. Thank you for your replies xx

I'm like you - I don't feel that safe on water rides - but ok on Rollercoasters because your strapped in. But if you can do the Black Hole - which I daren't - you must go on the Disco H2o - It's brilliant. Thats if its still there- I went on it May 2005.

Thanks Sue, I will. It sounds like fun and not scary like the new brain wash :confused2
My Wife is more scared of the snakes in the lazy river at TL than the rides at wet n wild
