Even though we never thought we would plan a holiday quite so much, we have came up with our plans for our fast approaching trip! All hints and tips greatly appreciated.

Here goes....

Thursday – April 26th

Arrive at hotel, dump bags in room – then walk down to Old Town for bike night. Have pizza at Flippers and a pitcher or two of beer at Sun On The Beach.

Friday – April 27th
Up early (jet lag and excitement!), down to Dennys for breakfast. Back to hotel for transport to MK. Really have to do my favourite attraction – “Philharmagic”. Not terribly bothered about the other rides today, going to take time to explore and relax. Off to our ADR at Liberty Tree Tavern at 2.45pm.

Go back to hotel late afternoon, quick change then off to Old Town. Few beers (we like beer….), grab a burger from Chequers then a relatively early night.

Saturday – April 28th

Rest day – start off by unpacking our cases if we can be bothered. Off to IHOP for breakfast. Have an hour or two doing a bit of shopping at Publix / Walgreens and a bit of time at the pool. Walk down to Chillis for a late lunch where we plan to pig out! (and drink a beer or two). Might even pop into Old Town as we walk back.

Sunday – April 29th

First full day at a park – off to AK early as we can. We will grab a quick brekkie somewhere. Plan to do everything as we love the AK! Looking forward to Everest! Park closes at 7.00pm so head off for our next ADR at “Whispering Canyons” for 8.00pm, then back to hotel.

Monday – April 30th

Another full day, heading off to MGM where we will stop to 9.00pm for “Fantasmic”. We have an ADR booked at Mama Melrose for 5.20pm – gives us a bit of time to relax before heading off for a good seat at “Fantasmic”, and then back to the hotel.

Tuesday – May 1st

Nothing planned today. Might head off to a water park – but as my back is playing up will have to avoid lots of the rides (doh!) – also girlfriend in bit scared of the water. Might even head off to DTD for a light refreshment – but who knows!

Wednesday – May 2nd

Walk along the road to the Ponderosa, and grab bus from hotel to MK. Plan to do all the big rides, then jump in a Lynx bus down to Old Town where we plan to eat at the “Pagoda Garden” (all you can eat!). Once again, might saunter off to a bar for a wee drinkie poo!

Thursday – May 3rd

Up early and off to AK (again!) – like I said we both love AK. Park closes at 6.00pm. Have got another ADR at the Rainforest Café booked for 3.00pm. After the park closes we will head off to “Old Town” for bike night again.

Friday – May 4th

Have a day down at Celebration – looking forward to trying a good few of the 99 different beer at the Town Tavern…..

Saturday – May 5th
First trip this holiday to EPCOT. We have planned this day to be a day round the lagoon, snacking and having a drink and enjoying all the different countries. Stop till 9.00pm to see “Illuminations”.

Sunday – May 6th
Absolutely nothing planned – a day for a bit of R&R and to check our itinerary for our last week so we do everything we have planned.

Monday – May 7th

Taking another trip to EPCOT today for the rides. Will be taking a trip out to the Big River grill for a meal.

Tuesday – May 8th

Having a second day at MGM. We have an ADR booked at “50’s Prime Time Café” for 2.00pm.

Wednesday – May 9th

Rest day – perhaps park-hop to re-do things we missed or enjoyed.

Thursday – May 10th

Nothing planned for the day – head to MK for “Wishes” in the evening.

Friday – May 11th

Off to MK / DTD to do our gift shopping. Have a last meal – possibly at “Beaches and Cream”.

Saturday – May 12th

Book out of hotel for 7.00am – being collected for our Departure Day Breakfast at the Grand Floridian, off to DTD for check-in. Then home…..

Quite a full trip planned - but have a few rest days in the mix.

Looks quite relaxing compared to mine - I'm doing all disney parks including 2 water parks, plus both universal parks & wet and wild and shopping, and cinema (Spiderman 3- first release 4 may). I think I'll neek a week in Majorca when I get back!

Also noticed that your flying out the same day as me, are you on TCD from Manchester?

Hi Sue

We are flying with Virgin maybe we will see you at the airport.
This is the first time we have gone just the 2 of us (usually with sister, brother-in-law and their 3 darling children). So we wanted to have a more relaxing time

That looks like one of the best planned & well thought out itineraries I have seen in a long time, well done you - plenty of relaxation in there aswell to just chill or do whatever you feel like, have a fantastic trip!

p.s - I love all your 'refreshment' stops - vital for keeping cool and giving you a chance to take in all the amazing things you have done, nothing like a cold beer on a balmy Florida evening ;)

Many thanks CBR600. Never meant to plan it so well - just happened that way! Like you say, the "refreshment stops" are very important - can't be getting dehydrated....

Cannae wait now!

Oh dear, another ADR booked for Sunday 29th for brekkie at Boma. We are very excited now. I do have to say I think that we could have been more efficient with the booking of ADR's as they have all been booked one at a time, we were only going to have one or two but we keep seeing everyone els'e and adding new ones to ours.
Phone bill will be HUGE

Also noticed that you've got Rainforest at AK booked. I really want to book this. Have tried turning up a couple of times at the one at downtown but massive queues and when we did get seated they were that slow - we walked out. My little un was really upset because he thought the place was great. So my point is.. how do you book? Might seem a daft question but I did try phoning a number and got voice message asking me to enter reservation number so I thought you must only be able to book if you're staying at disney resort which I'm not. So if you get chance, can you give me the number I do ring or what the procedure is? Thanks

Sue, we ate here on our last trip to AK, I phoned them direct - will have a look and see if I still have the number for you, you can make an ADR with no problems, it doesnt matter that you are staying off site, we stayed in a villa and still made our ADR :D

edited to say this is the number we rang (just found it) - 001 407 827 8500

Hi Sue

I phoned this number 001 407 939 3463 when you are asked for your booking reference hang on and then they will ask for your 10 digit home phone number if you are not staying on site followed by pound so just drop the 0 from the STD code and punch this in followed by a hash and that it.

Now this looks like a holiday! :d: Ours looks more like a highly planned military operation - relaxation is not an option! :d:

We are going to be there at the same time as you and it looks like our paths may cross at least 4 times! :spin:

Have a good one! :spin:

Yeah, Robbie has now said that I am not allowed to book any more ADR's as it will become too rigid and this year we want things to be more free flowing as I said this is the first time we have been away just the 2 of us (we have been together 12 years) so we really want to relax and chill out

Thanks very much - just rang and booked it!!! How exciting I've never done this before. Noticed that I was on the phone for 5 mins so don't know what it'll have cost. I live in Hull and we don't have the option of using a different telephone supplier as we can only go with Kingston Communications which is the only network mainly owned by the council! This was better for us years ago, but now with all the competition all over the country I don't think it is now. (not that you needed to know all this - what am I rabbitting on about, it must be all the excitement!)
