Hello All, :wavey:

Can anyone tell me what the swim with dolphins is like at Nassau, how long it last and what we can expect. Do we have far to travel once off the ship, one dilema we have is can anyone tell us what sort of habitat the dolphins are kept in, will we turn up to find them kept in small enclosures? My husband is big on that sort of thing any info would be greatly appreciated.

many thanks - angie:blush:

We are going to be doing this in Sept. I have not done it before but have booked directly rather than through the cruise as they did not offer the swim with dolphins option. The cruise offers the observer and close encounter option (this means that you are in waist high water on a platform, that you are able to have contact with the dolphins).

We wanted to be able to actually swim with them - hold their fins or have them push us through the water. The swim/encounter lasts 30 mins but including transport to from the ship and induction is up to 4 hours. Hopefully someone else will be along soon who has done this and can give you more info on how the dolphins are kept - as I would be very interested in this too.

We were going to do this in 2005 but it was all closed due to the previous years hurricanes. Glad to hear its all open again, hope the dolphins were all OK.
